Finishing the deck

November 23, 2007

Today Shane and Wade put the Trex decking on our back porch. They spent about 4 hours at the house getting it all put down. There are a lot more screws to put in (sorry Troy!) so it’s not completely done, but it is good enough to walk on.

Jonathan liked to help by “checking” things (i.e. measuring things)

He liked measuring things a lot.

Here is the “mostly finished” deck. We also got the correct door for the back porch delivered on Tuesday (with the wrong hinges…) so Wade and Shane set it today as well.

They also have the fireplace all set…

and the pillars on the front porch are up now too.

The day after Thanksgiving

November 23, 2007

This day is famous for early morning shoppers… luckily Sean slept in until 7:30 (it’s a record!)  Most people also put up their Christmas trees and Jonathan wouldn’t leave until we put up Grandma Perry’s tree.  So Shane pulled out the tree (even though Grandpa Perry wanted to be say “bah humbug” to the tree this year.  Then the grandkids all decorated the tree.  Here are some pictures.

Thanksgiving Day

November 22, 2007

Today was Thanksgiving! We had a lot of fun at Grandma Perry’s house. Jonathan got to play with most of his cousins and had a great time. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Keegan wanted to wear Jonathan’s backpack and have a bow in his hair.

Sean has the widest grin!

Travis carved the turkey.

Sean having a good time.

Hand prints

November 9, 2007

Today we went to the house because they were pouring the front porch. This is the last big poor so we decided to go out to get the kids’ hand-prints in the cement. Jonathan couldn’t wait and kept asking Wade if it was time to put his hand in. Sean didn’t know what was going on. When we finally got to him he just wanted to dig and grab a handful. Here are a couple pictures.

House update

November 8, 2007

Here is the most recent picture of our house.

We took pictures of Ailene’s kids today. I think Dare was too cold to want to be there. Toby was a bit shy at first too. But we got some great shots! Thanks Ailene…

New Blog

November 1, 2007

I’m excited to start my new blog! Here are a few pictures of the kids from Halloween. We went Trunk-or-treating, and had hot-cocoa. Jonathan forgot what the “hot” part meant
