Christmas is over

December 26, 2007

Well Christmas was fun this year. Jonathan had lots of fun helping Sean open his presents, as well as his own presents. Jonathan went sledding at Grandma Perry’s house, and then at the new house dad pulled him behind the 4-wheeler. He was very cold, but still enjoyed it. I guess when you are a kid you do anything to have fun, no matter how cold! Here are some pictures from Christmas morning etc.

Happy Birthday Sean

December 8, 2007

Today Sean turned 1! Unfortunately, due to a snow storm no one was able to come. Thanks for thinking of him though… Here are some pictures from his party.

Well this one is just from earlier today but he is still cute.

Here he is opening a present. He got some clothes…

…and he got some blocks of his own since Jonathan is worried that he will ruin his creations!

We had cake…

and made a mess!

I took a bunch of pictures on Thursday because they got all the sheet-rock hung. Here are just a few.

Here is a view of the fireplace.

A view of the front entry way from the kitchen.

And a view of the kitchen from the hallway.

They were to have the whole thing taped and ready to texture by the end of today (Saturday). We will also be painting in two weeks!

Cousins

Today Jonathan and Sean got a new cousin! Travis and Jenny will need to fill you in on the details but here are a few pictures of Samara! (I hope I spelled that right…)

Snow at the house

December 5, 2007

Yesterday we went out to the house to meet with the siding guy. He was almost an hour late and it was cold… But Jonathan had fun playing in the snow while we waited. The sun came out for a while and the sky was beautiful.

Catching up

December 2, 2007

It’s been over a week since I last posted anything. There wasn’t much happening at the house. We were supposed to have the house insulated using cellulose (old newspaper and water) on Thursday. They didn’t show up until about 2:30 and once they got everything ready to start they turned on the water pump and it started spraying water everywhere. Their valve had frozen and cracked. They had to come back the next day to work. I didn’t get any pictures of that since I couldn’t go out there on Friday. They did get soundproofing insulation around our room and we got our water main hooked up to the city.

In the meantime we stayed at Grandma Garner’s house and Sean ate lunch and took a nap. I got a picture of his mad face…

…but I also got a happy one as well.

It changes pretty quickly!

It snowed yesterday and Jonathan was excited to go sledding. So Shane made a hill for him and we put him and Sean on the sled. They had a lot of fun.
