We went for a little walk to visit Grandpa Smith today. We went the long way around the orchard and as usual went to the back door. When we left Jonathan wanted to go through the front door and play on the lawn. I got this picture of Sean on the porch. I love his front door. He bought this house when they widened 13th East in SLC (a LONG time ago). He kept everything, including the address! (look closely at the screen door).
Today I took it easy. We went to my neighbors house, which happens to be my best friends parents. She was here for the week because of spring break. We talked while the kids had fun playing on the swings.
Today was my Grandpa Smith’s 96th birthday. We had him over for dinner with my parents and his neighbors. It was a fun time, and I hope that he enjoyed it. After dinner we had him tell us stories about when he was young. There was one about a gas tank and how someone lit a match to see if the tank was full… they got out of there quick! We then sang him happy birthday (twice) and had cake. Here are a few pictures from the evening.
I just love this picture from today! I had to share it with everyone (who reads the blog… which isn’t much but whatever!)
Sean is 16 months old today! And all I could get was his backside.. how sad 
He just wouldn’t turn around! But I think it is a cute picture anyway.
