Jonathan is FIVE!!!

May 30, 2008

Today is Jonathan’s fifth birthday! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by.

We didn’t do anything very exciting today. We took him to the bank to deposit some money from Grandma & Grandpa Perry, and then took him to the dollar store to get a toy. He got some play dough :) Then tonight we had Grandma & Grandpa Garner over for cake and ice cream and to open presents. Here is a recap of the evening in pictures.

Jonathan blowing out his candles. He had to try THREE times! I asked him this morning what kind of cake he wanted: Chocolate, Vanilla, or Spice. He said SPICY!

Shirt and pants from Mom and Dad. I love how the shirt is in mid-air!

A game for his Leapster and a Leap Frog video to help teach reading skills. SOOOO exciting!

Card from Grandma & Grandpa Garner.

Sunday afternoon

May 25, 2008

Today after naps (well after Sean’s nap) we decided to take a drive up Santaquin canyon. The lower gate is open, but the one just above Trumbolt is still closed. So we parked there and walked up to the one lane bridge. It was quite a walk! Then when we were almost there we decided to walk/climb/stumble up a snow slide. The only downside to the whole thing was that Shane forgot Sean’s shoes, so even when we were on the road we had to carry him. Plus I had all my camera stuff so it wasn’t a light walk! Here are some pictures from the walk.

Holy Smud! It’s a new word

A walk in the canyon

Yesterday I was supposed to go help out with baseball at the park. But it was raining and hence no baseball, so I took off up the canyon to take some pictures. Click on the picture below to check them all out!

(It might take a minute to load if you have a slow connection, and also requires flash. But it’s worth it!)

Graduation time!

May 20, 2008

Today (Monday) was Jonathan’s pre-school graduation. It was soooooo cute to see all the little kids, singing songs, and playing out the nursery rhymes.

Here he is with his teacher Miss Janae! She was such a great teacher, and I’m glad he was able to go to her school.

Next on to kindergarten… :)

Mother's Day

May 11, 2008

It’s been a quiet weekend around here. Yesterday Shane took care of the normal stuff. He cleaned the car, did the laundry, and made dinner. Today he made breakfast for all of us too!

After church we went to my mom’s house for dinner and had a really good time. Sean even tried his hand at a spoon! After that we went up Santaquin Canyon for a short drive and walk around. It was a nice relaxing day. Here are some pictures from our excursions…

Day 122

May 1, 2008

Ok, since it’s been a while since I posted anything so I thought I would share this. All that is growing in my yard is rocks. They multiply like rabbits. This is Sean in the back yard and the look on his face is almost mocking my efforts to get rid of all the rocks!

Also, I’m working on revising my website so everyone check it out when it’s all done!

Anyway that’s all for today…
