Day 212

July 30, 2008

Dinner time!

Sean is so cute with his eating now. He is figuring out utensils, but he still has to “guide” them to his mouth with the other hand. It’s like he is trying to catch anything that falls. If the item is large, then he picks it up with his free hand and puts it on the fork or spoon. Then he tries to put the utensil in his mouth.

Day 211

July 29, 2008

Ok, it has taken a long time for me to get to this point on this quilt! I started it back in November! I had each of the blocks pieced by February/March. Then we moved…

So I finally pulled it out again, and the top is all sewn together. Now I need to finish the back! I’m just piecing together the leftover scraps, from each of the different patterns.

I love the quilt, but I’m not sure it’s what I want in my room now! So I might end up selling it. Any bidders? :)

Camping

July 25, 2008

So we decided to take a little vacation! Shane wanted to take Jonathan fishing. Jonathan has never been and it’s been about 15 years for Shane! We went to Payson Lakes for three nights.

Here is Jonathan trying out his fishing pole, while cooling off a bit too!

Sean and I didn’t like the canoe too much (sorry Wade).  It was a bit unsteady.  So we got out and went for a walk around the lake the first day.  Here is Sean with a “kick” (aka stick)!

Never fear, I did get back in the boat.  Here is Jonathan reeling in… a hook.  He never caught anything, but I still think he had fun!

Here is Sean’s shadow in the bottom of the boat!  I think it is funny!

And here is one for Grandpa Perry and Travis!  Sean is wearing Shane’s Ute hat!

There are plenty more pictures to see!  Watch the slideshow here.

Just another day!

July 16, 2008

We had family pictures today.  I didn’t do them because it’s hard to capture our family interactions when I am behind the camera!  Justin Hackworth did them… check him out!  But I did get some when we got home.  Here are my handsome boys… all of them!

The Grotto

July 11, 2008

Today I took the kids for a drive up Payson canyon.  We stopped at a few different places as I was scouting out a place for family pictures.  We finally stopped at the Grotto trail.  It’s a pretty easy hike, and the kids had a lot of fun.  Here is Jonathan with his cheesy smile!

Here is Jonathan at the Grotto.  I could have put Sean down with him, but he would probably have tried to stand up, and subsequently fallen into the water.  Not a good idea.  So I took this picture while holding Sean and balancing on a log across the stream.  No wonder I didn’t get a proper exposure!

Here is Sean after I set him on the log, and showed him how to balance himself.  As soon as I stepped back to get the picture he was, of course, jumping off to go look at cow dung (there was lots on the trail!)

Here is Jonathan with what else but… a stick!  Everywhere we go he has to find a stick and it is either a sword or a gun and he has to do a fancy trick with it.  Today he spun around and then shot me.  It was “amazing”!

Day 190

July 8, 2008

Today we got a surprise from the UPS guy! Well, I knew about it, but Jonathan didn’t. Shane had ordered a fishing pole so that he could take him fishing on our camping trip in a couple weeks.

Jonathan sent a message to Shane asking if he could open it up before he got home. He was so excited when I told him it was his!

We took it outside and I took a few pictures of him on the deck. Not much fish in the dirt and weeds though!

I finished up the last Genola Baseball pictures last night… well actually this morning I sent them off to the lab.

Jonathan had retakes yesterday because he was pulling funny faces on the day we did his team. It’s great to be the official photographer and be able to do retakes! So here is his official 2008 baseball picture.  What a smirk, huh?!!!

You can pick up your pictures at the town office for about another week. After that I will start calling around so that the fine ladies at the office can get some counter space back!

As a reminder, if you ordered a baseball package, I am offering 20% off any family or kids packages. Check out the details here.

So I was so excited about this picture that I couldn’t wait to post it with the rest! So here is some baby yummyness to tide you over…enjoy!

Day 185

July 3, 2008

Dry grass.

Among the many, many weeds in our yard, we also have lots of dry grass. This is one reason why we will NOT be having fireworks in our front yard! Otherwise we would probably burn down the house and the entire orchard behind us!

But they do kind of look like fireworks if you look closely!
