Jonathan…

May 31, 2009

Yeah, he’s six now!

We had a nice little party with Grandma & Grandpa Garner. We got him a bike and Shane wanted to have him look for it. So he made up a bunch of “I spy…” clues. I think he enjoyed that part more than the actual gift! So here is a slideshow of the evening!

Initiated

May 30, 2009

With each new child you always have firsts. First day home, first smile, etc. Well this week brought a couple firsts for me rom Megan. On Sunday, Megan peed on me in her new dress. I guess she likes it the best, so she doesn’t want me to hand it down! Then… Tuesday we had a t-ball game, in Eureka. Things started out well enough. I sat down and started taking pictures.

Here is Sean playing with the ball.

That’s as far as I got with the camera! Megan started fussing, and we realized that we forgot a binky. So Shane got her out of the carseat and handed her to me. I cuddled her up to calm her down and instantly realized that something was amiss. She had pooped through her outfit, and I was covered! We ran to the back of the van to change her. We did have an extra onesie, but only three wipes left. We had to use the blanket to get what we missed. I then sat in the car to feed her.

Shane took a few pictures. Here is Jonathan. He has a big head!

After I was done feeding Megan I got out, adjusted the clean blanket over her and me to hide the poopy on my shirt. The game ended as I walked back. The boys played for a while and after everyone left I put Megan in the surprisingly clean carseat and took some pictures.

So here is to a hopefully better week next week. Now that I’ve been fully initiated we can move on and just ooohhh and aaahhh over the cutie pie!

Happy Birthday Mom!

May 27, 2009

About three weeks ago I took my mom and Megan to see a good friend of mine, Justin Hackworth. He is an awesome photographer, and the studio he was using made me jealous! Such a great place. He spent some time getting to know my mom and then he took some pictures of us all. It was a great time.

This was my favorite, so I kept it for myself!

And here are a few more!

Happy times!

Growing up

May 24, 2009

Lots of things have been happening around the Perry household lately.  Megan is now 5 1/2 weeks old.  We have featured her here a lot!  Jonathan just graduated from kindergarten, and on Saturday he turns 6 years old.  But Sean is feeling left out of the mix… so this post is about him.

Sean 2 1/2 years old now.  He has turned into quite the “parrot”!  When asked any question, he will repeat the question as the answer.  He also follows big brother around and does everything he does.  (FHE last week was on being a good example, and it will be this week as well… it hasn’t quite sunk in!)  Last week he ran into nursery and gave his teacher a big hug!  He counts to 10 and misses only a couple numbers.  He sings the alphabet and many other songs, sometimes all mixed together.  He jabbers on about who-knows-what all day long.  He’s one smart cookie!

So here is Sean, all grown up!

Moving on …

May 22, 2009

Today was Jonathan’s Kindergarten graduation. Shane calls it a mock graduation, but it was still fun to see all the kids dressed up!

Here is a slideshow of the rest of the graduation.  (They aren’t the best, but I’m used to using natural light and there was nothing natural about the light in the gym!)

Congratulations Jonathan, you did a great job!

So we are halfway to Summer, and Spring finally decided to poke it’s head out.  Okay, really I have been a wimp this year and haven’t been out in the “cold” much!  Here is a picture from last week taken in the orchard.  Yes it is crooked, but it kind of grew on me and that’s how it’s stayin’!

And of course I took more pictures of Megan.  I wanted to get her announcement out, so here is one of those pictures.  Click here to see some more!

One of my pieces was accepted to the Spring Salon exhibition!  Sweet!!!

There were over 1100 entries, and only 253 accepted.  I was amazed that I got in!

The show runs through July 5th, so go check out all the great artwork on display.

Here is what the boys did the other day while I made dinner… made mud!

And here are some more pictures of Megan.  You can’t have enough pictures of little babies!

And a couple of Megan and Sean.
