So, maybe you are wondering where are all of my pictures for this month.  Well life with 3 kids at home ALL day is a little crazier than you might think.  I have several quilting and sewing projects to finish, a garden to weed and water, along with the lawn, feed the herd 10 TIMES a day, pick berries at my grandpa’s and peas at my mom’s, keep Jonathan busy with chores and other projects so he’s not watching movies all day.  The list can go on, and on!  But I’ll spare you the details!  Suffice it to say, that I didn’t keep up with my daily picture for June.  I missed a day or two near the beginning of the month, and about half-way through I decided I needed one less project, and that was it.  I still took pictures when we did something fun, but other than that I didn’t worry if I didn’t get a picture taken if all I did was fold laundry that day.  If that’s all I did, then it was a big accomplishment!

But, here are some of the pictures from the last couple of weeks.  There are others, that I already posted from sessions that you can check out, but I won’t re-post them here.

6.20.10  Father’s day!  Shane got home from church in pretty good time.  He’s the financial clerk so he stays after church and usually gets home around 1:30… unless it’s fast Sunday.  Or if there is a new bishopric!  Which happened on Father’s day.  So around 2 he got home and we got dinner.  Sean kept saying he wanted to go to Grandpa Perry’s house, so we quickly ate and took a drive.  This was taken in Fairview.  Megan was pretty tired, and about ready to melt down.

6.22.10 Jonathan’s last baseball game this year.  Sean likes to sit on the hill.  Then he can jump over Shane’s shoulders and do a flip.  This was Shane just holding him on his shoulders because he was getting tired.
Jonathan taking off from first base.  He improved a lot this year!  I think he had a lot of fun.  He earned some money, and he wants to save it to buy a new bat for next year.  We’ll see if it lasts!

6.26.10 Genola days 2010!  We seem to always sit in the same place… on the dirt in front of the plaque!  We got there early so the kids played on the slide while we were waiting.Watching the parade

The Grand Marshalls

6.28.10 Look at that hair… Should I get her haircut, or keep letting it grow?  Her hair is always in her face… It would drive me crazy if it was me!

I can’t believe I let this go for this long! There really isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done though. Especially with Jonathan home all day. Hopefully he gets adjusted to being home soon, and will stop whining about things that he gets to do (like unloading the dishwasher). Kids!

Anyway, here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks. I’ll try to keep up on this a little better!
5.25.10 Jonathan’s hair cut for crazy hair day at school.

5.26.10 Two shots. The first one of my brother…can’t get enough! The second one of my brother and his wife and their old bikes.

5.28.10 Playing with light late at night.

5.29.10 Taken on a walk in Fairview, Utah.

5.31.10 Yes, she is eating dirt! She’s going to be a country girl!

6.3.10 My garden is growing!

Just love the large sky above us!

6.5.10 Love this shot of Sean! Part of a shoot for a possible book.

We went up the canyon for “brinner”. My mom and dad came too and we had a good time.

6.6.10 Young and old(er)!

6.9.10 Another one for the book (or not for the book, but I still liked it!)

6.11.10 Spring City, Utah.

6.13.10 I’m just glad I’m not the only one who lays things out on special days! I saw this at Alisa’s today before the baby blessing and had to grab my camera. So cute :)

Whew! I made it… and so did you ;) Please keep coming back for more!

So I’ve been pretty busy, or lazy, however you want to look at it!  I just haven’t blogged my pictures this last week so I am catching up, again…

5.18.10  I was drawn to the clouds laying low next to the mountain in the distance.

5.19.20 It turns out this is the last of the dandelions, for now, since they mowed the orchard the next day.

5.20.10  Jonathan got hit by the ball on his finger, ouch!

5.21.10 Sean likes to get out ALL the games in the cupboard.  This is what was left out for the night.

5.23.10  It started raining, and rained all night and we woke up to snow the next morning.  Yikes!

5.24.10  I wanted to get some pictures of Jonathan for his 7th birthday.  Is he really getting that big?!  I’ll post more later.

So we have some pretty silly kids!  Here is the proof…

5.15.10  Sean wanted to be out in the field with Jonathan.  Then he saw grandma and grandpa and ran right between the hitter and the catcher!

Jonathan was waiting for his turn to hit.  But he wasn’t very “ready” to catch the balls!
Here he is actually hitting it!  They had a pitching machine for the Hit-a-Thon to raise money for baseball.  He got 10 out of 20!  Not bad :)

5.17.10
Megan had the craziest hair-do! I did her hair earlier in a pony-tail and clipped it down so it wasn’t sticking straight up. After her nap, and after dinner, this is what she looked like!

And the winner is…

Which is Ailene!  Since you didn’t specify which one, I’ll just pick my favorite.  :)

But I’m feeling a little bit generous tonight so the rest of you will get a 5×7 print as well!  Thanks for all your support!

And now on to today’s picture.  I just LOVE Sean’s freckles!  They are just tiny little sun kisses.  I’ve tried for a while now to get a good picture of them, but he’s too dang fast!

Going out of town really takes its toll on my blogging!  It takes a while to get back into a rhythm.  So here’s a quick recap of the week.

5.7.10  I took this at one of the many stops on the way to Moab.

5.8.10  Here are my favorites from the day of shooting.  I think all of them are from the morning!

5.9.10 We stopped a little bit after midnight in Manti so Shane could stretch his legs.  I only ended up taking 3 shots since it was cold and I was afraid the sprinklers were going to come on at any minute!  We did make it to church at 9am, but both needed a nap afterword.  We were both ready to pass out at church!5.10.10  Megan hard at work learning all her notes!  She was being fussy when I went to my mom’s and so we put her up there and she was perfectly fine!5.11.10  Are you tired of the cherry blossoms yet?!  It was raining off and on all day so I finally just went out with a plastic bag over my camera.  It was a little bit harder to focus!

5.12.10 I can’t wait for it to warm up and we can open our windows and listen to the sprinklers as they lull us to sleep!  I love the summer in the country!

See you at the other side of the weekend. It’s off to Moab for a fun photography workshop :)

Okay, so if you read my post on facebook yesterday, you are probably wondering what I got in the mail today. Well, I rented a tilt-shift lens. I only have it for a week, and I have a lot to learn with it. But it will be fun to take on the photography workshop in Moab this weekend. Anyway, this is what I got from playing with it for a few minutes this afternoon.
Here is a great example (well great for after 2 minutes of using it!) of the tilt feature. Notice the blurry edges and sharp focus on Sean.

Here is an example of the shift feature. You can’t see much of the tilt because it is such a large open area. The shift is generally used in architectural photography, but to me it makes landscapes seem larger. Anyway, enjoy!

Shane, finally graduated! We are all so excited! I’ve got so many projects for him to do ;) But first, one last hoorah!!!

I forgot my flash, so there’s nothing of him walking across the stage. I had to order prints from the “official” photographer.

Now, on to catching up. Here are the rest of my “Year in Pictures” pictures to get caught up.
We worked outside as much as we could with it raining off and on. We still didn’t get anything planted on Saturday.

Sean was waiting so patiently for the ice cream to be done. In the end, Brent hadn’t followed the recipe exactly (at all!) so it never “creamed”. But Sean didn’t budge! He wanted to be first ;)

Monday I worked outside most of the afternoon. Megan actually took a long nap and I got a lot done! We got potatos, corn and peas planted. For the record cooked peas are gross! But I’ll eat them fresh out of the garden anytime :) As you can tell I didn’t plant around the outside because that’s where most of the rocks are. We’ll try and work on it more throughout the summer.

And yesterday they had a talent show in Jonathan’s class. They had to pick one student from each class for the school talent show. He didn’t get picked, but he did a great job! His friend Layne got picked because he played the drums. He’s actually really good, and has great rhythm. Anyway, here’s Jonathan playing “Lightning Ranger”.

I finally got my family pictures all in one place!
