Thanks everyone for stopping by! Remember I’ll be doing this every month so keep checking back for a chance to win!

If you have some free time on your hands, or even if you don’t and you are tired of playing around on Facebook, go check out The Pioneer Woman. I stumble upon her site once in a while and check out her photography tips, and recipes. But today she just finished up her saga about how she met her husband. It’s a great story full of embarasing moments that make you feel better about yourself! Here is the link to Black Heels to Tractor Wheels… start at the bottom and work your way up! Then you will know why there is still cereal spilled on my floor to be swept up, and the dishes aren’t done.
I just finished reading two books by Elizabeth Warren and Amelia Warren Tyagi. The first one is called The Two-Income Trap. It has a lot of information on economic history and sociology over the last 30 years. I found it really interesting, but some people might feel like they are in an economics class! The second book is well worth the read for anyone. I would love to lend mine out to anyone who would like to read it. But it really is worth buying to have your own copy (read: I want it back if you borrow it!). It is called All Your Worth: the ultimate lifetime money plan. Those of you who watch Dr. Phil may have heard of it a few years ago since it came out in 2005. But I read about it on NPR’s book feed a few weeks ago.
The book outlines how to get your money in balance, pay off your debt, and start saving for the future. It is not a “get rich quick” or “millionaire’s-r-us” book. It is a “lifetime plan”! The authors cover all sorts of situations, and you can apply their advice to any size of income.
It is such a great book! I am making Shane read it this week, so if anyone is interested in borrow mine you will have to wait until he is done. But if you just can’t wait then go get yourself one. It’s well worth it.
